A gentle massage can do wonders to your baby – it can calm your little one’s skin or ease her tummy, and even give her proper nourishment. And all this depends on the type of moisturiser you pick.
Naturally when you become a new mother you are going to have a million questions about how to take care of your new bundle of joy! When it comes to your precious baby we at Tan Organic know that you only want to use the safest and healthiest products on your baby’s delicate skin! Tan Organic moisturising multi use dry oil is a safe and 100% natural moisturising oil which will leave your baby’s skin feeling soft, smooth and hydrated for longer. This is because body oils contain no water, which means they will be absorbed by your baby’s skin straight away.
The multi-use dry oil is wonderful alternative to mineral oil and has no harmful chemicals in it such as paraffin, paraben or artificial colours, which many other baby moisturisers have. Instead this dry oil consists of eight plant oils such as argan oil, macadamia, rosehip, sweet almond, orange peel, avocado, jojoba seed and hemp seed.
Another benefit of the multi-use dry oil is that it is a multipurpose oil so it can be applied to your baby’s hair and nails too to give them nutrients for healthy hair and nail growth which is essential at a young age. Plus, it also smells fabulous!
Tan Organic moisturising multi use dry oil is available in Boots stores nationwide or for purchase on our website here.
Say Goodbye to streaky tan and messy bed sheets with organic colour guides!
Have you ever felt you applied your tan “perfectly” before bed but woke up to a tan disaster or the other nightmare “ALL my tan came off in the shower”?
Understanding what a colour guide is will help prevent these disasters from happening again!
Colour guides are present in all fake tans, whether it is a mousse, oil or lotion. The dark fake tan colour that you spread on your skin is called the colour guide. This is not your actual developed tan colour; it is simply a guide to where you are applying your tan. Fake tan normally takes between 6-8 hours to develop. Most colour guides contain synthetics which are why they appear a deep colour on application, however these synthetic colours compared to natural colouring can cause skin sensitivity, rashes and irritation and are not kind to your skin.
Tan Organic’s colour guide is different to others as it only uses food colouring in the colour guide. Tan Organic is made up of natural ingredients hence the colour guide appears as a lighter colour compared to other fake tans, but this does not affect the result which develops in 6-8 hours. The key to streak free tan is to spread the tan in circular motions covering all the areas you would like to tan. With Tan Organic you will achieve an evenly developed, all over beautiful golden tan and less mess on your sheets and in the shower!
In short, the initial tan application colour is only a guide of where you are applying your fake tan and not the actual tan! Keep calm and go organic, and remember to use circular motions. 🙂
I love summer and holidays abroad where the sun rises before I do and kisses me awake through thin curtains, calling me to play. I love wearing shorts and getting my shoulders out, bare feet on hot sand and cool showers after a day on the beach. I love it all but in truth, I’m a factor 50 kind of girl. I’m all for lazing around in the heat but I’m mostly seen under an umbrella, slathered in sunscreen should the rays penetrate my enclave. There are a number of reasons for this. Firstly, I’m quite fair and even if I did prostrate myself out covered in oil I would be more likely to end up in A&E than looking like a golden goddess. Secondly, I’m religious about my skincare routine and UVA & UVB rays are one of the biggest threats to any anti ageing regime. The skin you have in your twenties, you were born with, the skin you have in your thirties, you gave yourself in your twenties. I understand that Vitamin D is important and that a certain amount of sunshine can do wonders for your health, but for me, with my fair, Irish, freckled skin, factor 50 is a must and golden skin can only be found in a bottle.
I have searched endlessly for the perfect fake tan. I’m not the most proficient at applying tan and as I take a keen interest in the ingredients of skincare, it was important to me to find a tan that was safe and organic.
I had heard lots about Tan Organic and when Caroline kindly sent me a package of products from the range, I was very excited to try them out.
Before I tell you about the incredible results I achieved with Tan Organic I want to tell you briefly about the amazing brand ethos. First of all they are Irish and I am a huge advocate for supporting Irish. They also have a number of wonderful certs to their name. They have received an Ecocert which means the Tan has no GMOs, parabens, phenoxyethanol, ingredients derived from petrochemicals or synthetic chemistry and it also means that the whole manufacturing process is controlled so that all packaging and outer packaging is biodegradable or recyclable.
Is that incredible or what?
The tan is also 100% cruelty free and has received the PETA stamp of approval making it suitable for vegetarians.
To be honest, from my research I thought it was all so good that there had to be a catch. Surely it smells horrible or just doesn’t give you a beautiful healthy glow.
I was wrong. The tan smells like chocolate orange, is easy to apply and left me looking like the golden goddess I’ve always wanted to be. I used the lotion which has a light colour when applying.
As well as the tanning lotion I also received the Tan Organic double sided mitt. The mitt is super thick and long lasting and even has room for your thumb which makes application really easy.
I also got to try out the Face Oil which gives a really subtle glow. I never wear fake tan on my face so this is the perfect substitute. I will be wearing this on holiday when I don’t want a full face of make up. I also received the bronzer from Tan Organic which is genuinely one of the nicest bronzers I’ve ever used. It has two shades and is perfect for contouring and highlighting. I also love the exfoliating mitt from Tan Organic which is an important part of your tanning routine.
Tan Organic is available in pharmacies nationwide.

TanOrganic Self-Tanning Oil
Beauty therapist Noelle O’Connor, creator of TanOrganic – the world’s first organically certified sunless tanning brand, explains that water-based products may cause skin to flake while an oil-based one like this hydrates deeply. You can use this oil for both face and body, massaging in a few drops lightly with your hands – just avoid eyebrows and hairline. Check the colour after six to eight hours, or the following day, and then re-apply if you want a deeper colour. Repeat twice a week for maintenance.
Comments: ‘Full marks; I loved this lemony-smelling product, which was very easy to apply, absorbed quickly and left my skin feeling moisturised – not at all greasy’ • ‘Colour took up to 24 hours to develop fully but left my very pale skin golden and glowing, as if I had been in the sun’ • ‘Made me feel very confident – I needed less make-up and so I looked more natural. I will definitely buy more’ • ‘My skin felt so smooth and plump and it did not irritate my sensitive skin’.
