Why we don’t use plastic

Over 90% of skincare products use plastic packaging. Plastic packaging can and will cause a chemical reaction. It is well researched that chemicals 'leach-out' through plastic and mix with products. Many manufacturers again rely on synthetic ingredients to 'protect' the product. Glass is inert and known to be the most protective container for naturally active ingredients. The dark colouring of the glass protects the ingredients from harmful UV light.

Why our travel size looks like plastic

When we set out to introduce our inflight travel size bottles in May of 2011 we were met with the challenge of finding a lighter alternative to glass which would better suit airlines. In keeping with our natural policy we were unwilling to expose our products to the petrochemicals that are used to make almost all plastics. We needed a bottle that was as light as plastic, but that also did not contain petrochemicals.

Enter our Bio Bottle.
You could easily mistake our Bio Bottle for a standard plastic bottle. It looks like plastic and even feels like plastic, but it is not. Our Bio Bottle is actually made from renewable extracts of corn, is biodegradable and most importantly doesn’t contain any petrochemicals. It is as natural as the product inside.

Irish Times Best Tan/Value TanOrganic was voted Best Tan and Best Value Tan in a poll in The Irish Times. It was up against Dove, St.Tropez & Garnier, Ambre Solaire and was the only tan in the poll to get 5 stars. 'Verdict: Homegrown and Excellent'.

Natural Tanning with TanOrganic

TanOrganic the only genuine Organic tanning solution on the market with 95% certified organic tanning ingredients. This is the brainchild of Noelle O’Connor. In the midst of the worst economic climate Noelle needed to reinvent herself and as she was an avid supporter of Natural ingredients and Natural tanning she realised very quickly after searching for an Organic Tanning solution that there was a huge gap in the market for an Organic Fake Tan. The more Noelle searched the natural Tanning market she found many “so called “Organic Tanning Products and “Organic Spray Tans” she also discovered the whole Organic Fake Tan market was very vague and “Natural Tanning” and “Organic tanning” labelling was very loose. In order to claim an Organic Tanning Solution or an Organic Fake Tan was an organic tanning product or a natural tanning product you only needed to have one ingredient organic or natural and that Organic tanning ingredient or natural tanning ingredient need only be a low fraction of a percentage of the complete organic tanning or natural tanning product.

Natural Organic Tanning

Noelle set out to produce a product which was a 100% natural fake tan and 95% certified Organic Fake Tan.

In order to get an Organic tanning solution certified by the certifying body you must have at least 70% certified organic tanning ingredients.

Genuine Natural Fake Tan

Currently the market is flooded with Natural fake tan and Organic spray tans products claiming to be genuine natural and organic spray tans. Ireland and the UK are the largest users of fake tans in the world and with only one certified organic spray tan and only one 100% natural fake tan consumers should ask about the ingredients and what percentage is natural tanning and organic tanning ingredients.
